MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Matthew Chang is a theater practitioner and a singer song-writer.

Growing up in a family of artists, his cellist mother would bring him to her rehearsals and performances of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. It ignited his passion for music and theater and exposed him into different genres at a very young age; fascinated by opera, ballets, symphonies – he knew he was meant to be a story teller.  He learned how to play the violin at the Philippine Research for Developing Instrumental Soloists (PREDIS) at the age of 9 under Ma. Rosario Molina-Cruz. Renowned Opera singers Pablo and Camille Molina became his voice teachers. Since then, he hasn't stopped playing and singing in different productions, orchestras, concerts, and performances.

He launched his first single “Balikat” last year in music platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, etc.  He’s currently preparing for his next single launch this summer and is looking forward to telling more stories through music.

Matthew Chang is humbled and thankful for the love and support he gets from his Family, Friends, Mentors and Colleagues.
